Agnes "Tootie" M. LeBlanc

Agnes “Tootie” M. LeBlanc, 88 year old resident of Pierz, MN passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Pierz Villa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 29th at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Hillman, MN. Father Greg Poser, O.S.C., will officiate and burial will be at St. Rita’s Parish Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, January 28th at Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN, and from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Wednesday at the church. Christian Mothers will pray the Rosary at 4:30 PM, followed by a Parish Prayer Service at 7 PM on Tuesday. Agnes was born on March 13, 1925 in Pierz, MN to the late Henry and Margaret (Seelen) Adriaens. She grew up and attended school in the Pierz, MN area. Tootie was united in marriage to Clinton LeBlanc on October 7, 1947 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. For many years she was a stay at home mother until her children were older and she went to work at Crestliner Boats in Little Falls, MN. After retirement Tootie, worked part-time at the Star Café in Pierz as a cook. In her free time she enjoyed making quilts, ceramics, working on jigsaw puzzels and playing cards. Her home always had a pan of bars available to anyone who came to visit. Tootie was also a very avid gardener and she loved to can the fruits from her garden. She was an active member at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Hillman, MN where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and was always very faithful at attending daily mass. Tootie dearly loved her many grandchildren and she will be missed by many. Tootie is survived by, sons, Ken (Linda) LeBlanc of Pierz, MN, Dale (Lonnie Rudolph) LeBlanc of Pierz, MN, Jeff (Deanne) LeBlanc of Pierz, MN; daughters, Kathy (Rick) Stachovich of Foley, MN, and Susie (Mike) Dehler of Pierz, MN; brothers, Rich (Margie) Boser of Pierz, MN and Mickey (Lorraine) Boser of Osseo, MN; sisters, Evelyn (Ronnie) Boser of Pierz, MN, and Terry (Harvey) Block of Hillman, MN; 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Tootie was preceded in death by husband, Clinton LeBlanc; parents, Henry and Margaret Adriaens; sons, Glen and Richie LeBlanc; daughter-in-law, Lu LeBlanc; brothers, Herb Boser, Floyd Adriaens and Freddy Boser; sisters, Christine Duscher, Marie Collins, Dellie Brausen, Catherine Wuellner, LaVern Tanner, Doreen Jones, and Lollie Hoheisel.
