It is with profound heartbreak that we announce the untimely passing of Amber Kristen Sassen, beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, who left us on August 24, 2024, at the age of 37. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls with Rev. Beth Pottratz officiating. Burial will take place at the Freedhem Lutheran Cemetery in Freedhem, MN. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday and 10 to 11 A.M. on Thursday all at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Caring for Amber and her family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Born on July 5, 1987, Amber's spirit was as vibrant as the summer sun, filling the lives of those around her with warmth and love. Amber was a devoted mother to her cherished son, Cooper, who was her constant companion and greatest joy. She poured her heart into nurturing him, and their bond was as unbreakable as the ties of family that she held dear. Along with her love for Cooper, Amber's heart expanded to embrace Bruce Oleson, the love of her life, alongside his children, Katie, Ethan and (Aiyana), and his grandchildren, Skylar and Avery. Together, they were crafting a beautiful, blended family that celebrated love, laughter, and togetherness. On November 1, 2023, Bruce and Amber became engaged. A true nature enthusiast, Amber found peace and joy in the simplicity of life on the farm, where her love for animals, especially her cows, blossomed. The serenity of the fields and the thrill of fishing and hunting adventures nourished her soul and grounded her spirit. Amber cherished her family beyond measure, bringing delight to her nieces and nephews and creating unforgettable memories in each precious moment spent with them. Her siblings, Larry Jr., Josh, and sister, Heidi shared an unbreakable bond with her that will forever echo in their hearts. She was the beloved daughter of Larry Sr. and Cindy Sassen, whose guiding love provided a foundation as strong as the fields she traversed. While Amber is preceded in death by her dear brother, Phillip Sassen and her grandparents, George and Bernice Sassen and Richard and Barbara Robinson, their memories will be forever carried within her family and throughout the lives she touched. Amber’s light continues to shine through the hearts of those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and unwavering love. Her adventurous spirit, passionate embrace of life, and dedication to family will be remembered always. Amber, your love lingers like the sweet scent of flowers in the summer breeze. You will be deeply missed, but we find comfort in knowing that you are forever with us in our memories and hearts. Rest peacefully, dear Amber.
