- Floral Web Store Is Not Available - Giiweyaanakwadookwe, Bernice Pewaush passed away on May 7, 2025. A Visitation will be held at 7 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Baadwewidang D1 Center on the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Reservation. A Funeral Ceremony will begin at 10 AM on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Baadwewidang D1 Center on the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Reservation with Baabiitaw officiating. Interment will be in the Vineland Burial Grounds. Arrangements are with the LeMieur Funeral Home in Onamia. Giiweyaanakwadookwe, Bernice Pewaush was born on October 26, 1951, in Onamia, MN. She liked to spend her time sewing, beading, traveling, attending pow wows, and ceremonies with her family. Bernice enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, word search and Sudoku puzzles. She was a member of the Mishomis Dewe’iganan and the Midewiwin Societies. Bernice is survived by her daughters, Christine Pewaush (Sheldon), Sherry Pewaush, Renee Pewaush, Michelle Pewaush (Mike), Donna Bullchild, Deanna Bullchild, Kristina Pewaush, Shelda Tom; sons, Donald Pewaush Jr., Wayne Silas Jr., Troy Sam; brothers, Steve L.
