Betty L. Pietrowski

Betty Pietrowski, 88 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Talamore Senior Living in St. Cloud, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 19, 2025 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN with Father Virgil Helmin officiating. Burial will take place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN and from 10-11 A.M. on Friday at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN. Caring for Betty and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN. Betty (Retka) Pietrowski was born in Little Falls on June 30, 1937 to Tom and Alvina Retka. Betty graduated from Little Falls High School in 1955 and from St. Cloud State College with a bachelor’s of education degree in 1958. She was united in marriage to Ben Pietrowski on June 30, 1958. Ben and Betty initially resided in Brooklyn Park, and Betty taught school in the Bloomington and Osseo school districts, before they moved back to Little Falls to pursue her husband’s passion of farming. She called the same house ‘home’ for the next nearly 55 years, and it was there that she raised her three children, supported her husband’s calling, cultivated her own interests, and eventually got to exchange being a mother, for being an even better grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and having long conversations, especially with her three grandchildren, whom she adored, and was incredibly proud of. Betty is survived by her sisters Joann Sowada and Joyce (Dave) Ebnet; her three children Lori Pietrowski of Eden Prairie, Roger Pietrowski of Maple Grove, and Greg (Becky) Pietrowski of Sartell; her three precious grandchildren Austin, Amber, and Ashlyn Pietrowski; and in-laws Lynette Pietrowski, Pat Russell, Ted and Mary Pietrowski, Mark and Joyce Pietrowski, Rosie Stiller, and Helen and Tom McGrath. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Ben, parents Tom and Alvina Retka, parents-in-law Theodore and Martha Pietrowski, and in-laws Adrian Sowada, Herman Pietrowski, Norbert Russell, and Pete Stiller.
