Beverly Norgren

Beverly Norgren, 89-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls. Burial will be at New Calvary Cemetery in Cloquet, MN on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday and from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Parish prayers will be prayed at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday evening at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Beverly was born on March 29, 1929 in Cloquet, MN to the late Everett(Bud) and Hazel (Hagen) Prevost. She grew up in Cloquet, MN where she graduated from Cloquet High School with the Class of 1947. Beverly was united in marriage to Donald Norgren in Cloquet, MN. In 1961 the couple along with their family moved to Little Falls, MN. Donald passed away unexpectedly in 1970 and Beverly began working at Lindbergh Elementary School as the head secretary, managing the office and caring for the many young children at the school as if they were her own. She retired in 1994 and began enjoying "the good life"! Beverly spent many winters in Fort Meyers, FL and summer times at her brother’s cabin on Big Lake near Cloquet. She loved spending time with friends and the occasional cocktail on a pontoon or under the shade of a Florida tree. Beverly was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge, bird watching and tending to her flower gardens. She actively participated with the PEO Sisterhood, Lindbergh PTA, St. Gabriel’s Hospital Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Her family will always remember her for the unconditional love, beaming smile, and dedication she provided her children. Beverly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she cherished spending time with each of them. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Beverly is survived by her sons, Ross Norgren of Lake Beauty, MN and Mark (Cathy) Norgren of Little Falls; son-in-law, Mark Seifert of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; grandchildren, Angela Norgren, Reed Seifert, Lauren Seifert, and Oscar Norgren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Hazel Prevost; husband, Donald Norgren; brother, Doug (Margaret) Prevost; sister, Betty (Harry) Jensen; daughter, DeAnne Seifert; and daughter-in-law, Nadine Norgren.
