Brenda J. Strempke

Brenda J. Strempke, 64 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Living Hope Assembly of God with Pastor Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 10-11 A.M. on Thursday at Living Hope Assembly of God Church in Little Falls, MN. Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Brenda Happke Strempke, daughter of the late Anthony and Dorothy Happke left us August 5, 2012 to be with her Lord after a sudden illness. Brenda was born April 6, 1948 and attended school in Pierz, MN graduating with the class of 1966. She had many interesting jobs throughout her life. Brenda worked in a bank in California before moving back to Minnesota and also worked at 3M in Minneapolis. Brenda met the love of her life, Mike in 1978 and on July 27th, they celebrated 32 wonderful years of marriage. They were gifted with a son, Ian, in 1988. They built a home in the Cushing area and later moved closer to Little Falls. Brenda was employed at Wal-Mart the last few years and she thoroughly loved her job and the people she met on a daily basis. Brenda loved her flower garden, yard, music and reading. She also enjoyed fishing, concerts, playing piano, Bible study, and people. Her laugh was very infectious and had interests too numerous to mention. She loved the Lord above all, but also her family, friends, and church family. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mike Strempke; son, Ian Strempke; sisters, Twila (Ron) Geiger of St. Cloud, MN, Sandy (Merlin) Strempke of Little Falls, MN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim (Judy) Strempke, Jack (Vicky) Strempke, Martin (Michelle) Strempke, Judy (Don) Zeimen, JoAnn Pfleghaar; mother-in-law, Margaret Senlycki; and step mother-in-law, Mayme Strempke of Aclevein, Iowa. Brenda had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Dorothy Happke, father-in-law, John Strempke, step father-in-law Anthony Senlycki; great nephew, Mitchell Strempke, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles. Brenda will be missed dearly by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her and be touch by her tremendous love for life, people and laughter.
