Carol Clara Hoheisel, 74 year old resident of Hillman, MN, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Father Kermit Holl, OSC officiating and Father Kenneth Popp con-celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery in Pierz, MN. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 A.M. on Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. Arrangements are with Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN. Carol was born on March 12, 1941 in Pierz, MN to the late Bert and Barbara (Virnig) Tomala. She grew up in Pierz, MN where she attended school and graduated from Pierz Memorial High School with the Class of 1959. Carol was united in marriage to Wilfred Hoheisel on November 24, 1960 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Pierz, MN. She worked for St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls for 13 years as a nursing assistant. Carol then began working for the Crosier Priory in 1985 and was presently employed there as the head cook. She lived her life to serve her family, friends and The Crosiers. Carol had her entire family over every Sunday evening for family dinner and always made sure she made each person feel special by accommodating special requests for the weekly meal. She also loved having the women of the family over every Saturday morning for their weekly coffee clutch. Carol also had a green thumb when it came to growing flowers and making sure her lawn was neatly manicured. She was a very devout Catholic woman with deep faith in the Lord and made sure that she passed it on to her children. Carol’s family was her top priority and she always made sure she was involved in their life and her family always wanted to be involved in her life. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Carol is survived by husband, Wilfred (Itto) Hoheisel of Hillman, MN; children, Wayne Hoheisel of Hillman, MN, Wendy (Richard) Tretter of Hillman, MN, Bradley (Jill) Hoheisel of Hillman, MN, Barb (Dennis) Zajac of Hillman, MN, Kristie (Allan) Kroll of Pierz, MN, Stacey (Tracy) Thomsen of Pierz, MN; siblings, Roger (Doris) Tomala of Pierz, MN, Loren (Pat) Tomala of Pierz, MN, and Marilyn (Doug) Welcome of Pierz, MN; grandchildren, Ryan (Dailin) Tretter, Emily (Charlie) Walters, Abbey (Travis) Hermann, Rachel Tretter, Claire Tretter, Morgan Tretter, Kylee Hoheisel, Mariah Hoheisel, Megan Hoheisel, Nicole Hoheisel, Bryce Hoheisel, Madison Hoheisel, Jesse (Cassandra) Zajac, Olivia Zajac, Mason Zajac, Courtney Kroll, Natalie Thomsen, Jared Thomsen, Hailey Thomsen, and Ellie Thomsen; and 7 great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Barbara Tomala; infant daughter, Lorri Hoheisel; and sister, Lea Waytashek. Casketbearers will be, Wayne Hoheisel, Brad Hoheisel, Jesse Zajac, Ryan Tretter, Bryce Hoheisel, Mason Zajac and Jared Thomsen.
