Curt W. McDougle

Curt W. McDougle, 41 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his home in Little Falls. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN with Pastor David Sperstad officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at Shelley Funeral Chapel. Curt William McDougle was born on July 23, 1976 in St. Cloud, MN to Loretta (McDougle) Benzkofer. Curt grew up in Sauk Rapids his whole life, where he attended school and later graduated from Little Falls Community High School. He worked some various jobs in his teens, including delivering papers and worked at Gopher State Expedition. Curt settled in the Little Falls area in 1995and worked at Falls Fabricating, Larson Boats, Crestliner, Pro Tree Service and IWCO. He was united in marriage to Carey Holtslander on July 14, 2001 in Little Falls and they later divorced. He and Carey had two children of their own and he gained a step-son. Curt liked to have fun. He always walked around with a smile on his face. Curt was a man who could bring laughter to any room. He would try his best to do what he could to help others, no matter the situation. If Curt was on vacation, you would often find him doing some sort of work for someone, as he needed to keep busy and make people happy. Curt enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, bonfires, socializing with family and friends. He enjoyed sports, especially wrestling. He would take his children to monster truck and tractor pulls, demolition derbies and dirt track races. They did many things as a family growing up. Curt was a proud father who enjoyed watching his children play sports whenever he had the chance and he would be the one cheering the loudest in the crowd. When he was spending time with his friends, he enjoyed playing pool, darts and shaking dice. Curt is survived by his children; Bryon L. Holtslander of Little Falls, MN, Ethan Holtslander of Fargo, ND and Claire M. McDougle of Ada, MN; grandchildren, Bethany Holtslander and Emilyn Holtslander; parents, DeWayne and Loretta (McDougle) Benzkofer of Sauk Rapids; sister, Beth Ann Benzkofer of Sauk Rapids; stepbrother, Jason Benzkofer of Pennock, MN and many aunts and uncles.
