Dave Joseph Koroll

Dave J. Koroll, 77 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at his home in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Ben Kociemba officiating. Burial will take place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. A visitation will take place from 10-11:30 A.M. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Caring for Dave and his family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Dave was born on March 7, 1946 in Little Falls, MN to the late Michael and Lucille (Ringwelski) Koroll. He grew up in Elmdale, MN where he attended Country School and graduated from Upsala High School. Soon after graduation, he was drafted into the U.S Army and honorably served his country in the Vietnam War. He was later honorably discharged and returned back to Minnesota where he met his wife Diane Carlson. The couple was united in marriage on August 3, 1968 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Elmdale, MN. Dave worked as a union ironworker for 34 years, retiring in 2001. He was actively involved in the Bowlus American Legion, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN and also served as a volunteer firefighter and first responder for the Upsala Fire and Rescue. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking trips to Alaska to fish halibut with his family. He also loved deer hunting in Minnesota and never missed a season with his boys and family. His greatest love in life was his family. He thoroughly enjoyed every moment and was always present in his children and grandchildren’s lives. Dave was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Diane Koroll of Little Falls, MN; sons, Shawn (Holly) Koroll of Kenai, AK and Brian (Amy) Koroll of Hastings, MN; sisters, Marlene (Denis) Carlson of Elmdale, MN, Rita (Fred) Herbes of St. Francis, MN and Joy Koroll of Elmdale, MN; grandchildren, Alexis (Will), Clayton, Owen, Elizabeth, Noah, and Paige; and great-grandson, Austin. Dave was preceded in death by parents, Michael and Lucille Koroll and his brother, Dennis Koroll.
