Delores J. Dalquist

Delores Jeanette Dalquist, 92 year old former resident of Randall, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Little Falls, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing, MN with Rev Robert Drake officiating. Burial will take place in the Randall City Cemetery in Randall, MN. A visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN and from 10-11 AM on Monday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing, MN. Memorials to Erika’s Angels. Caring for Delores and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN. Delores Jeanette Getz was born in Stewart, MN on August 2, 1932 to the late Dan and Hattie (Rasmussen) Getz. Delores graduated from Stewart High School in 1951. After graduating, she moved to Waverly, IA and worked at a bank until moving to the Little Falls, MN area where she met and married Richard (Dick) Dalquist on May 20, 1956 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Swanville, MN. They made their home in Randall, MN where Delores worked at the Randall State Bank and First National Bank in Little Falls for a total of 15 years. Delores then worked at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls, MN for 15 years. Delores lived in Randall, MN until moving to Diamond Willow Assisted Living, Little Falls, MN in 2023. Delores loved gardening, spending countless hours tending her flowers and working in her vegetable garden. She also enjoyed going on bus trips all over the United States and traveling with her sisters to Germany and Hawaii, sewing, quilting, going for walks and going for Sunday rides with Dick. Delores took great pride in being a Sunday School teacher at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Randall, MN for several years. Her greatest love was her family and her faith. She attended as many school activities as she could for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delores is survived by her sons Duane (Colleen) of Cushing, MN and Dennis (Beth Burns) of Randall, MN; five grandchildren, Kyle (Laura) Dalquist, Grant Dalquist, Tanya (Steve) Austin, Steve Dalquist and Tom Dalquist; four great-grandchildren, William and Lane Dalquist and Grace and Olivia Dalquist; sister, JoAnn Grissom; brother, Jerry (Clarice) Getz; brothers-in-law, Doug Beers and Jim Harrington; many nieces and nephews. Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dalquist; parents Dan and Hattie Getz; brothers, Donald (and wife Lorraine), Gene and Roger Getz; sisters, Betty (and husband Walter) Runke, Elaine (and husband Robert) Strom, Shirley Beers, and Alice Harrington; brother-in-law, Kenneth (and wife Viola) Dalquist; and granddaughter, Erika Dalquist.
