Donald "Donnie" Kampa

Donald “Donnie” Kampa, 46 year old resident of Foley, MN passed away suddenly as a result of a work related fall in the Twin Cities area. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Morrill, MN with Father Dan Walz officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the St. Joseph’s Hall in Morrill, MN and from 9:30-10:30 A.M. on Wednesday at the Church. Funeral arrangements are with the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN. Donnie was born on October 8, 1964 in St. Cloud, MN to Edward and Kathleen (Vogtlin) Kampa. He grew up and attended school in the Gilman & Foley area. Donnie was united in marriage to Jeanne Mathews on June 14, 1986 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Morrill, MN. For many years Donnie worked construction at various places and for the last 30 years he owned and operated Precision Tree and Landscaping. Donnie was a people person that was very outgoing and he had a great sense of humor. His ability to play pranks will be forever remembered by his many friends and family. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going camping with his family. His true love in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He was greatly loved by many and will be dearly missed. Donnie is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jeanne Kampa of Foley, MN; daughters, Lindsey Kampa of Morrill, MN, and Chasidy Kampa of Pierz, MN; parents, Edward and Kathleen Kampa of Hillman, MN; brothers, Butch (Julie) Kampa of Pierz, MN, and Scott (Deanna) Kampa of Rice, MN; grandchildren, Damian & Connor Hebler; in-laws, Bob and Judy Mathews of Hillman, MN; nieces and nephews, Dustin & Molly Kampa, Kelsie & Teren Kampa, Jordon & Derek Brenny, and Austin Miller; and god parents, Gloria Graczyk & Gary Vogtlin. Donnie is preceded in death by, grandparents, Gladys & Edmund Vogtlin & Val & Rose Kampa; step-grandpa, Harley Hendricks; and uncle, Richie Vogtlin.
