Eldon Walker

Eldon Walker, 73 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Amazing Love Elderly Care Center in Randall, MN. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, with Chaplain Michele Rosha officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday and 9 to 10 AM Monday at the chapel. Eldon Frank Walker was born on August 1, 1944 in Courtenay, North Dakota to the late Roy and Mary (Neva) Walker. He attended school in Little Falls. Eldon worked on the family farm and was involved in farming his whole life. He was united in marriage to Margaret Van Epps in 1961 by a Justice of the Peace in Morrison County. Together they raised their four children. In addition to farming, Eldon did other work, working at Larson Boats and driving trucks for Tri-City Paving. In his free time he enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables and deer hunting in the fall. Eldon also spent a lot of time attending auctions and picking up treasures. He achieved his lifelong dream of repurchasing the family farm that he grew up on. Eldon always enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Eldon is survived by his children, Billy Joe Walker (special friend Lisa Shaw) of Little Falls, former daughter-in-law, Shelly Walker of Little Falls; Randy Gene (Ann) Walker of Stafford, VA, and Vicki Lynn (Mike) Larson of Albert Lea, MN; his ex-wife, Margaret (Harvey) Schuett of Little Falls; brother, Leroy (Karen) Walker of Little Falls, and half brother, Jerry Chura of Sartell, MN; sisters, Bonnie (Lyle) Thelander of Columbus, IN, Donna (Jerry) Welinski of Little Falls, and Mabel (Dennis) Tinker of Jamestown, ND; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Walker; brother, Robert Walker; half brothers, Jackie and Dwayne Chura; sister Darlene Hovland; half-sister, Dorothy Miekle, and twin infant siblings. Casketbearers will be Pat Warren, Dennis Welinski, Steve Bruns, Culley Larson, Brad Walker, and Troy Hovland.
