Florence Taszarek

Florence L. Taszarek 84 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 at St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls, MN. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Robert Frank officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Monday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN and from 10-11 A.M. on Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Florence was born on October 15, 1926 in Edgeley, North Dakota to the late William and Emma (Lenz) Schulz. After graduating from high school Florence taught Country School for several years. She was united in marriage to Thomas Taszarek on June 15, 1948 in Monango, ND. Shortly after marriage the couple moved to Little Falls and Freedhem, MN area. They farmed in Ripley Township for many years. Florence sold Tupperware for several years. She was a very faithful person, getting baptized on November 14, 1926, confirmed on December 22, 1940 and a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls. Florence has spent the last few years residing at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls. In her free time Florence liked playing Bingo, going to church, caring for her plants, and watching the birds and squirrels out her window. Florence was a very generous and selfless person who always loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Florence is survived son, William (Becky) Taszarek of Little Falls, MN; daughter, Betty (James) Rakow of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Tracy (Chris) Niemcek of Fitchburg, WI, Amanda (Nick) Pederson of Otsego, MN, Michael Taszarek of St. Cloud, MN, Angela (Ray) Rangel of Little Falls, MN, Douglas (Amanda) Rakow of Little Falls, MN, Jennifer (Osse) Stumpf of Pierz, MN, and Matthew Rakow of St. Cloud, MN; great-grandchildren, Simon & Miles Niemcek, Avery Pederson, Kaylia, Alaina, & Gabria Rangel, and Grayson Stumpf; brothers, Harry, Milton, and Leon (Kathy) Schulz; and sister, Wilma Keehr. Florence is preceded in death by husband, Thomas in 1981; brothers, Art & Alvin Schulz; sisters, Violet Haldin and Amelia Taszarek.
