Gary DeZurik

Gary O. DeZurik, 50 year old resident of Randall, MN passed away Thursday, June 14 at his residence in Randall. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at St. James Catholic Church in Randall with Rev. Linden Wendzel officiating. Burial will be at the Randall City Cemetery in Randall. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday, June 18th at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls and from 10 to 11 A.M. on Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church in Randall Gary was born on January 26, 1957 in Little Falls, MN to the late Patrick and Irene (Gallus) DeZurik. He attended school in Little Falls and graduated in 1975. He worked at Crestliner in Little Falls from 1974 to 1979. Then he worked for LeMieur Ambulance because he loved to help people. Gary married the love of his life, Julie Sharon on October 25, 1997 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Randall, MN. He was presently a member of Randall Planning & Zoning; President of the Randall/Cushing First Response Team; Past President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Randall/Cushing Lions Club. He was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award (Lions), Helen Keller Award (Lions), and an employee commendation signed by Governor Arne Carlson which was presented to him in St. Paul, MN. Gary loved his work in law enforcement, and greatly missed working with his fellow officers. Gary is survived by his bride, Julie DeZurik of Randall, MN; his daughters, Lexi DeZurik of Randall, MN, Sheena DeZurik (significant other, Rob Kersting) of Randall, MN; son, Corey (Heather) DeZurik of Randall, MN; brothers, Ray (Patricia) DeZurik of Nissawa, MN, Keith (Barb) DeZurik of Little Falls, MN, Chuck DeZurik of Little Falls, MN, Doug DeZurik of Little Falls, MN, Joe DeZurik of TX; grandchildren, Brookelyn & Brady DeZurik of Randall, MN; Julie’s children, Jessica Schmidt, (Fiancé, Zach Tabatt) of Duluth, MN, Eric Schmidt of Randall, MN, and Tim Schmidt of Randall, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Willard DeZurik, Donald DeZurik. Honorary Pallbearers will be law enforcement. Active Pallbearers will be Keith DeZurik, Ray DeZurik, Doug DeZurik, Chuck DeZurik, John Garvin, Pat Boone, Daryl Sharon and Doug Wiekert.
