Helen Fellbaum

Helen E. Fellbaum, 92 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away Tuesday, September 11 in Little Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 16 at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Burial will be in Spring brook Cemetery in Swanville, MN. Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Friday and from 1-2 PM on Saturday at the funeral chapel. Helen was born May 24, 1914 in Platte, S.D. to the late Anna (Mortenson) and George Drake. She persevered as young woman growing up during the depression and war. She graduated from Platte High School in Platte S.D. and Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D. She taught in rural schools in S.D. She was united in marriage to Izzie Fellbaum on September 27, 1936. Izzie passed away on September 15, 1975. The couple moved to Little Falls, MN where she was an active member with Zion Lutheran Church teaching Sunday School. Helen was a volunteer at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, MN. She was a lifetime participant in Arts and Crafts activities. She was a exhibitor and demonstrator in the first Little Falls Arts and Crafts Fair. Helen was an experienced gardener and cook, she assisted with meal preparation at the Little Falls School cafeteria and numerous church functions. Helen enjoyed traveling, singing and encouraging children’s musical interest and visiting with relatives and friends. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen is survived by her children, Keith Fellbaum and wife, Annette of Little Falls, MN, Karen Fellbaum of Idaho Springs, CO, Bryce Fellbaum and wife, Kathryn of Greenbush, MN; grandchildren, Daniel Fellbaum and wife, Therese of Santa Clarita, CA, David Fellbaum and wife, Lisa of Simi Valley, CA, Nancy Larson and husband, Wade of Billings, MT, Benjamin and Sarah Fellbaum of Greenbush, MN; great-grandchildren, Tom, Marc, Claire, Brianna and Alyssa Fellbaum, Amanda and Ryker Larson of Billings, MT. sisters, Dorothy Rakes of Lincoln, NB, Arlysse Fellbaum of San Diego, CA, brothers, Kennard Fellbaum of Long Prairie, MN, Marlene Fellbaum of Little Falls, MN and Don Fellbaum and wife, Dorothy Olson of Seattle, WA.
