Helen Ring

Helen was born and raised in the Morrison County area, growing up as the fourth child in a family of twelve. Helen was united in marriage to Leonard Ring on May 5, 1943 at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Her role model was her mother, Rose Schultheis Guck, who instilled in her a deep abiding love for the Lord. Helen lived her life “talk the talk”, but even more so “walk the walk”. She was a kind, gentle, loving women who took great joy in her family and the people around her. She was a strong women with integrity and was an excellent role for her husband, family, and friends. Helen enjoyed the folks she met at the Sanitary Bakery, Christian Mothers, church activities, and the children of CCD classes as she prepared them for First Communion. Her baking expertise was enjoyed by many-breads, cookies, rolls, cakes, pies, doughnuts, coffee cakes, and candy. Helen once mused how many rooms full of cookies she could fill with all the cookies she baked in her lifetime. Helen is survived by sons, Jim (Patrese) Ring of Little Falls, MN and Peter (Dianne) Ring of Little Falls, MN; daughters, Betty (Jerome) Pasela of Little Falls, MN and Mary (Jim) Skoog of Randall, MN; brother, Alvin (Marty) Guck of Brainerd, MN; sisters, Evelyn Smith of Little Falls, MN, Katherine Jackson of the Twin Cities, Bernice Meyers of Little Falls, MN, and Caroline (Edwin) Plante of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Barbara (Tom) Miller of Little Falls, MN, Kimberly (Ian) Ring-Schroeder of Sauk Rapids, MN, Aryn (Courtney) Kern of Duluth, MN, Sarah Pasela of Little Falls, MN, Paula (Jeremy) Bernard of Zimmerman, MN, Christopher Pasela & wife Heidi Czech of Little Falls, MN, Ryan Skoog (fiancé, Rachael Stormer) of St. Michael, MN, Katherine Ring of Little Falls, MN, and Jon Skoog of Randall, MN; great grandchildren, Thomas Miller, Abbey Miller, Sophia Bernard, Lydia Bernard, Benjamin Lopez Pasela, and Lillian Pasela. Helen is preceded in death by husband, Leonard Ring; parents, Frank and Rose (Schultheis) Guck; brothers, Herb, Elmer, Jim, Edward, and infant Frank Jr.; sisters, Rose Ann Zylka.
