Jeanette Gerbi

Jeanette E. Gerbi, a 92-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away on April 2, 2018, at the St. Cloud Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Matthew Langager officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, north of Little Falls. A visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Saturday at the church. Jeanette was born on September 28, 1925 in Rice, MN to the late Edward and Elinore (Dietrichs) Christle. She was united in marriage to Dominic Gerbi on September 28, 1948 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Little Falls. Jeanette worked as a telephone operator, sales associate at Lad-N-Lassie and was a real estate broker and business partner for Century 21 Real Estate Office in Little Falls, MN retiring in 1988. She was very community service minded, volunteering as a Campfire Leader, member of Friends of the Library at Great Regional Library and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls participating with the Christian Mothers organization. Jeanette was an avid bridge player and thoroughly enjoyed socializing and entertaining friends and family in her home. She loved to travel and took many trips with her husband Dominic over the years. Jeanette loved her family and many friends, they were all very important to her. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Jeanette is survived by children, Linda Lea of Panama City Beach, FL, LaVonne Jacobson of Fargo, ND, LuAnn (Ray) Legatt of Rice, MN, Mark Gerbi of Little Falls, MN and Lynette Gerbi of Woodbury, MN; grandchildren, Clay (Amber) Lundquist, Kateri Hollingsworth, Cody Jacobson & friend Janel Carlson, Jake Jelinski, Tony Jelinski & friend Becky Gormanson, Anthony Gerbi, Heather (Eddy) Popp and Jeremy Legatt & friend Ashley Merriman; 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Elinore Christle; husband, Dominic Gerbi; siblings, Donald Christle, Conrad Christle, Vernon Christle and Margie Motzko. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials are Preferred to Little Falls Friends of the Library.
