Kenneth "Ken" J. LeBlanc

Kenneth J. LeBlanc, 75 year old resident of rural Pierz, MN passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at his home in Platte Township surrounded by his family. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, MN with Father Ben Kociemba officiating. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Pierz and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Military Rites will be conducted by the Minnesota State Honor Guard. Caring for Kenneth and his family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Kenneth James LeBlanc was born on June 5, 1948 in Little Falls, Minnesota to the late Clinton and Agnes (Adriaens) LeBlanc. Ken graduated from Father Pierz Memorial High School in Pierz, Minnesota with the class of 1966. He then attended St. Cloud Votech School for Auto Mechanics. Ken retired from the Minnesota Army National Guard as a Master Sergeant after 39 years of service. Ken worked full-time for the MN National Guard as a Federal Technician at Camp Ripley, where he performed and supervised military equipment maintenance. He retired with 32 years of federal service. Ken married Linda (Walsh) on December 10, 1983 at the Camp Ripley Chapel. They made their home in the Freedhem Pierz area for 39 years. Ken loved the outdoors. Fall was his favorite season. He enjoyed grouse hunting, deer hunting, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. He also enjoyed being a mechanic at his home shop, where he would work on trucks, cars, tractors, and four-wheelers. Ken is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years; Linda; daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Johnson; sons, Clint (Mandy) LeBlanc and Jason (Sarah) LeBlanc; 8 grandchildren, Grant, Isabelle, Gavin, Gracie, Caleb, Adley, Wesley, and Gunner. These babies were the light of his life! Siblings, Kathy (Rick) Stachovich of Foley, MN, Dale LeBlanc of Pierz, MN, Jeff (Deanne) LeBlanc of Brainerd, MN and Susie (Mike) Dehler of Little Falls MN. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Agnes (Tootie) LeBlanc; brothers, Richard and Glen LeBlanc; mother-in-law, Josie Walsh and sister-in-law, Lu LeBlanc.
