Larry Hiscock

Larry Hiscock 78 year old resident of rural Buckman, MN passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Quiet Oaks Hospice in St. Augusta, MN. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN with Gloria Vande Brake officiating (lay Pastor of Faith Community Church in Pierz, MN). Burial will take place in the Graham Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday and from 10-11 A.M. on Thursday at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN. Arrangements are with the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN. Larry was born on February 7, 1936 in Brockway Township, Stearns County to the late Robert and Ella (Anderson) Hiscock. He attended schools in Sauk Rapids and Sartell, MN and graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School. As a young man he worked at various filling stations in the St. Cloud area. Larry was employed at DeZurik Manufacturing for 34 years as a machinist and supervisor and retired from there in 1998. He was united in marriage to Joan Pollock and to this marriage five children were born; Larry, Mark, Lori, Thomas, and Lynn. He was then united in marriage to Theresa Morgal and to this marriage a daughter Janice was born. In 1984 Larry married Carol Loscheider and they have been happily married for the last 30 years. Larry enjoyed hunting and the quiet beauty of the great outdoors. His greatest love in his life though was his family. Larry also spent many hours caring for his cattle, horses, and his only girlfriend Tara a blue healer dog. He was a member of Faith Community Church in Pierz, MN. Larry was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Larry is survived by wife of 30 years, Carol Hiscock of rural Buckman, MN; children. Larry (Mimi) Hiscock of rural Nevis, MN, Mark (Annette) Webber of Akeley, MN, Lori (Chuck) Pearson of Ham Lake, MN, Lynn Webber of Blaine, MN, and Janice (Troy) Hiscock-Knott of Colorado Springs, CO; step-son, Eric Kuechle of Upsala, MN; sister-in-law, Karen Hinton of Park Rapids, MN; grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Melissa, and Rose; great-grandchildren, Sammy, Tristin, and Zara; and step-grandchild, Breanna. Larry was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Ella Hiscock; son, Thomas Hiscock; and grandparents, Charles and Edith Hiscock and Hans and Martha Anderson.
