LeRoy D. Holz, 79 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Gary Hendrickson officiating. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 10-11 A.M. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Caring for LeRoy and his family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. LeRoy was born on September 23, 1944 in Little Falls, MN to the late Gustav and Esther (Bublitz) Holz. He grew up on a family farm in rural Little Falls, MN, when at the age of 7 years old he moved into the city. While living on the farm, this is where LeRoy’s love for animals grew, but dogs were always his favorite. LeRoy was an avid fisherman who tried to go fishing every day if he was able. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and baseball games on TV. LeRoy also had a love for Country Western music and the outdoors, just sitting on his deck with his dog by his side. He was the painter in the family, always willing to help put a new coat of paint on something if it was needed at his home or at one of his family members’ homes. LeRoy was an active and faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN where he cared for the lawn every summer and assisted the janitor with cleaning the floors. He also enjoyed going for bike rides, taking drives in the country and enjoying one of his favorite snacks, a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup or some Lays Potato Chips. LeRoy will forever be remembered as a generous, kind and loving person who was always willing to help his family, especially his nieces and nephews whom he adored. He will be missed by all who knew him. LeRoy leaves behind his furry friend Buffy and knows she will be cared for by his family. LeRoy is survived by siblings, Robert Holz of Little Falls, MN, Adeline Kazeck of Sauk Rapids, MN, Bernice (Don) Waldvogel of Little Falls, MN, and Edwin (Roxanne) Holz of Beaverton, OR; sister-in-law, Judy Holz of St. Cloud, MN and many nieces and nephews. LeRoy was preceded in death by parents, Gustav & Esther Holz; siblings, Eleanor Holz, Gustav Holz Jr., Frieda Rebischke, Erma LaFond, Mildred Rebischke, Don Holz and Marie Holz.
