Leslie A. Dick, 68 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at her home in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Ben Kociemba officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Wednesday and from 10-11 A.M. on Thursday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Caring for Leslie and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN. Leslie was born, along with her twin sister, Lynn, in Roseau, MN on December 6, 1955 to the late L. "Monk" and Ardie Carlson. In 1974, Leslie graduated from the Little Falls High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Minnesota Crookston and received an Associate in Applied Science Degree as well as a Bachelor Degree in Law Enforcement a few years later through Brainerd Technical College. After graduation in 1976, she was hired at the Morrison County Sheriff's Department. She was very proud of her 34 years of accomplishments at the Office. During her tenure at the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, she held positions as a Deputy Clerk, Administrative Officer, Part-Time Deputy, Water Patrol Deputy, Bailiff, Full-Time Deputy and Investigative Sergeant. The criminal cases the deputies worked on intrigued her and she felt she could do more for the Department and the Community. She obtained her part-time peace officers license in 1996. Leslie became the first female officer in Morrison County. She broke the glass ceiling. In 1997, she obtained her full-time peace officer license and began working full time on the road in 2002. She was offered the Investigative Sergeant's position in the department becoming the first female in Morrison County to hold this position. She proudly served in this capacity serving and protecting until 2010, retiring from the department. She embraced her time working with the Morrison County Sheriff's Department. After retiring from the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, she was employed by Dick Sales Company, working with her husband in the family business. She retired from the business in 2019. She met the love of her life, Gregg, in 1977 and they were married in Little Falls at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in 1978. They loved to travel together and with family and friends. They loved spending time together, whether it was at their cabin, which was her favorite place to be, ice fishing, golfing or trips to Germany, Alaska and Jamaica. They raised three beautiful daughters, Christina, Michelle, and Kimberly. Leslie was very proud of their accomplishments. Leslie was also blessed with 9 beautiful grandchildren, Marcus, Madelynne, Mollie, Chase, Carson, Kennedy, Aubrey, Autumn, and Adalynn. Left to cherish the loving memories, her husband Gregg; daughters, Christina (Daryl) Boeckers, Michelle (Aaron) Stupar and Kimberly (Bryan) Thayer; grandchildren, Marcus, Madelynne, Mollie, Chase, Carson, Kennedy, Aubrey, Autumn and Adalynn; and sister, Lynn (John) Tatro. Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Monk and Ardie Carlson; brother, Tim Carlson; grandparents; in-laws, Ralph and Tish Dick.
