Lotus L. Bellefeuille

Lotus L. Bellefeuille, 94 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Family Catholic Church Parish Cemetery in Belle Prairie, MN. A visitation will be held from 9-10:30 A.M. on Saturday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MM. Arrangements are with Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Lotus was born on August 24, 1920 in Little Falls, MN to the late Eugene and Clarice (Brousseau) Grennier. She grew up in Little Falls, MN where she graduated from St. Francis High School. Lotus was united in marriage to Everett Bellefeuille on September 11, 1940 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, MN. Lotus and Everett made their home in Little Falls where they raised their five children. Lotus was a homemaker her entire life. She dearly loved caring for and playing with her children and grandchildren who were her greatest joy in life. She was an exceptional cook and baker, making fresh bread weekly and serving her family fried chicken every Sunday after church. In her free time Lotus enjoyed playing cards and square dancing with her husband Everett. Lotus was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls and was a member of the Christian Mothers. She will forever be remembered for her special gift of making other people’s day brighter and more cheerful. Blessed be her memory, may she rest in peace. Lotus is survived by son, James (Jeneva) Bellefeuille of Royalton, MN; daughters, Bonita (Kenneth) Colombe of Waterford, MI, Diane (Thomas) Banwart of Little Falls, MN, and Nancy (Dave) Przybilla of Little Falls, MN; daughter-in-law, Sharon Bellefeuille of Crosby, MN; sister-in-law, Nanny Grennier of Franklin, NC; 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Lotus was preceded in death by husband, Everett Bellefeuille; parents, Eugene and Clarice Grennier; son, LeRoy Bellefeuille; sister, Gladys McChestney; and brothers, Leo & Frank Grennier.
