Louis W. Andres, 95 year old resident of Randall, MN passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at St. James Catholic Church in Randall, MN with Rev. Leo Moenkedick officiating and Rev. Timothy Wenzel concelebrating. Burial will be held in St. James Parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday, November 6th and from 9 to 10:45 A.M. on Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church in Randall, MN. Parish prayers will be at held at 6 P.M. Monday evening at the church. Louis Walter Andres was born on May 8, 1911 in Abercrombie, Minnesota to the late Frank and Anna (Brauhaus) Andres. Louis was united in marriage to Mary (Danko) Andres on October 15, 1935. In 1936, Louis and Mary moved to Randall, Minnesota and were the first owners of the Sinclair Station in Randall. In 1939, Louis started farming for several years. He also worked at Crestliner Boats as a foreman in the paint department for 22 years and later retired in 1973. Louis was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Randall, Minnesota. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching the Minnesota Twins, playing cards, fishing, reading western books and gardening. He was very devoted to the Rosary and the Poor Souls and was advocate for pro-life. Louis set a very good example for his entire family. Louis is survived by his children, Terry Andres of Dixon, MT, George (Jean) of Moundsview, MN, Mike (Linda) Andres of Blaine, MN, Colette (David) Blake of Napa, CA, Linda (Drew) Willis of Benicia, CA, Gloria (Thomas) Thornborrow of Randall, MN and Kim (Robert) Samler of Randall, MN; daughter-in-law, Linda Andres of Randall, MN; sister-in-law, Rose (Frank) Bengtson of Golden Valley, MN; 33 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Andres (August 5, 2006); daughter, Bonnie Andres; sons, Doug Andres and Louis Andres, Jr.; parents, Frank and Anna (Bauhaus) Andres; daughter-in-law, Irene Andres and infant children, John, Paul and Mary Andres; brothers, Ernest, Frank and Edward Andres and his infant brother; sisters, Francis Schneider, Ollie Bermel, Agnes Glasco and Mayme Evans.
