Lucille V. Waldoch

Lucille V. Waldoch, 89 year old resident of Sobieski, MN passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Highland Senior Living in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN with Father Jimmy Joseph officiating. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. on Sunday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN and from 10-11 A.M. on Monday at the Church. Knight of Columbus Office of the Dead will be at 7 P.M. on Sunday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Lucille was born December 11, 1921 near Flensburg, MN to the late Leo & Mary (Skocinski) Yanta. She grew up near Flensburg and attended District #38 country school. Lucille was united in marriage to Frank Waldoch on October 21, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. The couple dairy farmed in Pike Creek Township near Sobieski, MN until retiring in 1983. Her husband, Frank passed away on June 11, 1994. Lucille had resided in Sobieski until 2009 when she moved in with her son, Paul. She enjoyed working jig-saw puzzles, gardening, canning, and especially playing cards. Lucille also loved to embroider, crochet, and make quilts for her family members. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN as well as the Christian Mothers. Lucille is survived by her sons, Donald (fiancé Dyanne) Waldoch of Little Falls, MN, David (Birdie) Waldoch of Royalton, MN, Jerome Waldoch of Little Falls, MN, Gerard (Colleen) Waldoch of Little Falls, MN, and Paul (friend, Linda) Waldoch of Little Falls, MN; daughter, Diane (Gary) Sufka of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Joseph, Mathew, Joshua, Anthony, Jarrett, Lynelle, Ariel, & Eli; great-grandchildren, Julia, Katelyn, Jackson, & Nolan; brothers, Pete Yanta of Little Falls, MN, Paul “Jerry” Yanta of Little Falls, MN, and Leo Yanta of Burtrum, MN. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Waldoch; son, Allen Waldoch; grandson, Jeremy Waldoch; sisters, Dorothy Stodolka, Delores Waldoch, RoseMary Rodeski, and Julie Vavra; brothers, Stanley Yanta & Martin Yanta; and parents, Leo & Mary (Skocinski) Yanta. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lynelle Vetsch and Brian Waldoch. Active Pallbearers will be Michael, Joseph, Mathew, Joshua, Anthony, Jarrett, Ariel and Eli Waldoch.
