Margaret M. Gammon

Margaret M. Gammon, 84 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls and from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday also at the Shelley Funeral Chapel. Parish Prayers will be prayed at 5 PM on Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Margaret was born on July 12, 1927 in Little Falls, Minnesota to the late John and Stella (Rudnick) Karnowski. In 1945, upon graduating from St. Francis High School, she traveled to Washington DC and worked under General Eisenhower for the Department of the Air Force at the Pentagon. Margaret returned to Little Falls in 1949 and was united in marriage to Warren K. Gammon on October 22 of that same year. The couple lived and raised their four children in Little Falls. Margaret worked for many years as the Administrative Assistant for the municipal court judge and served as the Clerk of Court for Morrison County. Later on in her life, she was employed for over a decade at First Bank of Little Falls now known as Bank of the West. Margaret enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and going to the casino. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Otsea of Colorado Springs, CO, Barbara Gammon of Sartell, MN, Charles Gammon and his wife, Renae of Sauk Rapids, MN, and Mary Kay Gammon of Little Falls, MN; her “adopted” daughter, Gloria Gammon; grandchildren, Jesse Otsea and Jenifer Otsea of Colorado Springs, CO; great grandchildren, Kieran and Jasmine Otsea of Colorado Springs, CO; honorary grandchildren, Zack and Mitch Beattie, Manón, Claire, Nicolette, and AJ Gammon-Deering all of Little Falls, MN, and Brooke Torvik of Rice, MN; brothers, Eugene Karnowski of Chico, CA, Florian “Jake” Karnowski of Hemet, CA, and James Karnowski of Little Falls, MN; sister, Terry Clemmons of Las Vegas, NV. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; parents, John and Stella Karnowski,; son, Thomas Warren; brothers, Fred “Kokomo” Karnowski, Richard, “Dick” Karnowski, and Toby Karnowski; sister, Florence Zak. Pallbearers will be Jesse Otsea, Brian Karnowski, Troy Gammon, Elvin Siegel, Mitch Beattie and John Jacobs.
