Marilyn Mueller

Marilyn Esther Mueller, 94-year-old resident of Little Falls, Mn passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Bridgeway Estates. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing with Rev. Carl Larson officiating. Burial will take place at the Randall City Cemetery in Randall. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Caring for Marilyn and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN. Marilyn Olson was born on June 4, 1931 to the late Lee and Esther (Nesheim) Olson in Frost, MN. She was raised on the family farm with her 7 siblings at a time when horses were used for field work. Life was hard without indoor plumbing and electricity, but the family loved and supported each other. The family moved to Altadena, CA following the death of her mother in 1944. Her father worked in the shipyards supporting the war effort. The family relocated to Randall about a year later. On September 1, 1950, Marilyn married Robert (Murph) Mueller in Randall, MN. They were a loving couple and were married for 48 years. They made their home in Randall where they raised their 3 children, Bob, Rick, Darcy and a niece, Vonnie. Marilyn was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran in Randall where she taught Sunday School, Release Time Classes and volunteered her time to many church activities. She was devoted to the community of Randall and supported her husband, Murph when he volunteered in the Randall Fire Department and the Randall VFW. She was a hardworking homemaker who maintained the house, cooked, baked, and canned vegetables from their garden. Marilyn and Murph travelled and had many adventures following Murph’s retirement in 1981. Marilyn had an opportunity to visit her ancestral home in Norway when she traveled there in 2003. She cherished the memories of that trip. She was a loving mother and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother who loved and supported them and shared much of her time with all of them. They brought so much joy to her life in her later years. She is survived by her children, Bob (Linda) Mueller of Little Falls, Darcy (Alan) Petersen of Randall, and niece Vonnie (Dave) Anthony of Springfield, MO. Grandchildren Crissy Anthony, Nikki (Jason) Coorts, Jeff (Rachel) Petersen, Bethany (Dr. Stamatis Zeris) Mueller Zeris, David (Maggie) Petersen, Andy (Angie) Petersen, Jake Petersen, Anna (Charlie) Hansen, and Robbie (Liz) Petersen. Great-grandchildren, Photi and Sopho Zeris. Nora and Luke Petersen, Wyatt, Ethan and Aubrey Petersen, Drew, Ryan, Emma and Bella Petersen, Ben and Bree Hansen, Aaron, Audrey and Asher Coorts. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Esther Olson, husband, Robert (Murph) Mueller, son, Rick Mueller, siblings Warren, Diana, Richard, Curtis (Lois), Burton. Dorothy and Lee; In-Laws, Lou and Felix Falconio, Don and Gloria Mueller, Jan and Warren Haus, Bev and Ralph Lindborg, Nancy and Clyde Fregin, Dick and Marge Mueller; Nieces and nephews: Becky Lindborg, Shelley Strahl, Scott Haus and Randy Lindborg.
