To Order, Please Call (320)532-4132 ** Marsha Skoog, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, devoted educator, and active member of the Baha’i Community, passed away peacefully the morning of April 27th 2024 surrounded by family at the age of 62. A Committal Service will be held 11:30 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Onamia, MN, with fellowship to follow at Bethany Lutheran Church in Onamia. Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia. Marsha was born on February 4, 1962, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Norma (Huffman) and Lloyd Chitwood. She was a graduate of Pine River High School in 1980. Marsha was united in marriage to Kent Skoog on the 7th of May, 1983, in Walker, MN, for the Baha’i Ceremony and later that day in Backus, MN, at the Church of the Nazarene for the Traditional Ceremony. Marsha dedicated her life to education, earning her Bachelor of Science in Education from Saint Cloud State University in 1992, followed by her Masters in 2004. Marsha’s Commitment to her Faith, friends, family, and community was evident in every aspect of her life. She exemplified the attributes such as Kindness, Patience, Understanding, Joy, and Servitude, which was evident in her consistently serving others. Her impact extended far beyond the classroom, as she touched the lives of countless individuals with her warmth and generosity. Marsha had many hobbies that included her love of planting gardens and being outdoors, whether it was going for a walk or cleaning up brush piles and picking up sticks. She loved arts and crafting books and cards and anything of a creative nature. In addition to her professional achievements, Marsha was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend. She will be deeply missed by her entire family and friends, as well as by her colleagues, students, and fellow Baha’is. Her family was the most important Joy in her life, and she was very proud of her boys and their families, but most of all, especially her grandkids, Landen, Trysten, Mason, Marty, Miles, Harper and Jameson. Her grandchildren were the center of her world and she spent her last days soaking up as much love, laughs and attention she could from them. Marsha is survived by her husband, Kent Albert Skoog; sons, Jeremy (Autumn) Skoog, Andrew (Julie) Skoog, Daniel (Kaylee) Skoog; mother, Norma Jean Huffman; grandchildren, Landon, Trysten, Mason, Marty, Miles, Harper, Jameson; brother, Brandon Chitwood; sisters, Pam (Ron) Greenwood, Robin (Jay) Burnes, Kathy Taray, Toni (Ivan) Bowen, Lori (Ed) Wilber, Renee Chitwood; mother-in-law, Gunn Skoog. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Chitwood; grandparents, Pearlie and Lucy Chitwood, Bertha and Elmer Pierce; sister Patricia Chitwood.
