Marvin W. Krumrei

Marvin Walter Krumrei, 80 year old resident of Little Falls, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 27, 2019. He passed away peacefully at St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls, surrounded by his family who loved him. A celebration of his life is being held in his honor on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Blackberry Townhall in Grand Rapids, MN. Future resting place will be Harris Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MN. Marvin enjoyed camping, fishing, putzing around the garage and fixing things. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. Mostly, he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved watching his grandson race stock cars, going to ball games, hockey games, watching westerns, playing solitaire on his IPad and traveling with his wife, Kathy and his dog, Holly. Marvin worked at Munsingwear in Little Falls, fixing sewing machines, where he met his loving wife Kathy of 51 years. Marvin then went to work at Hibbing Taconite Company, working as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 2001, after 27 years there. He also served 12 years in the National Guard Reserves. Marvin and Kathy had 4 children, Laurie, Kevin, Keith and Kyle. Marvin is preceded in death by his father, Arnold Krumrei; his mother, Louise Krumrei (Nessler); brother, Albin Krumrei; nephew, Thomas Krumrei; granddaughter, Rebekah Faith Smith; and many uncles, aunts and cousins, and his beloved dog, “Holly”. Marvin is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Laurie (Mark) Smith; sons, Kevin Krumrei, Keith Krumrei, Kyle (Julie) Krumrei; grandsons, Andrew (Leah) Rasmusson, Timothy (Leah) Rasmusson, Steven (Megan) Krumrei, Travis (Ashley) Krumrei, Colter Krumrei, Peyton Krumrei, Christian Higgins, Peter Smith and Curtis Smith; granddaughters, Rachel (Jake) Sivertson, Meghan Krumrei, Katri Krumrei, Reanna Smith, and Isabelle Clark; great-grandsons, Nathan Krumrei, Conner and Colin Krumrei, Reed and Trey Rasmusson; great-granddaughters, Grace and Olivia Rasmusson and Adalyn Sivertson; brother, Daryl (Cathy) Krumrei; sisters, Laura Rohde, Patsy Robinson, Ramona (Gary) Martin; sister-in-law, Verna Krumrei and many nieces and nephews.
