Mary G. Halverson

Mary G. Halverson, 95 year old resident of Pierz, MN, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, at her daughter's home in Pierz, MN. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Fellowship Bible Church in Pierz, MN, with Rev. Brandon Bellomo officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Fellowship Bible Church in Pierz, MN. Caring for Mary and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN. Mary Halverson was born on September 29, 1930, in Excelsior, Minnesota, to the late Emmett and Mary (Fitzsimons) Ryan. She grew up in the Excelsior area, where she attended school. In 1992, Mary was united in marriage to Kenny Halverson in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Throughout her working years, Mary held several different positions. She was employed at 3M and also worked as a waitress at the High Hat. She spent the majority of her career at the Anoka County Courthouse, where she worked in the collections department until her retirement in 1992. Mary was a wonderfully artistic and creative woman who especially enjoyed painting. She also had a deep love for music and especially enjoyed singing. Mary generously shared her love of music with others, often bringing the joy of song to elderly residents in assisted living communities and care facilities. She found great happiness in using her voice and musical talents to brighten the days of others. Her faith was especially meaningful to Mary. She was very active in her church and generously shared her time and faith with others, including teaching children's Sunday school. She enjoyed helping young people learn about their faith and was grateful for the opportunity to be involved in her church community. Mary will be remembered for her creativity, her beautiful love of music, her caring heart, her devotion to her faith, and the many ways she shared her gifts and talents with others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by children, Greg (Colleen) Meyer of Ocean Grove, NJ, Madonna Reichert of Casa Grande, AZ, Mike (Donna) Clark of Lindstrom, MN, Kevin (Heidi) Clark of Pewaukee, WI, Mary (Keith) Koepke of Pierz, MN and Paul (Lisa) Clark of Gilbert, AZ; siblings, Madonna Kerber of Excelsior, MN, Clara Bauer of Wadena, MN and Mary (Al) Schroeder of Jordan, MN; 26 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by parents, Emmett and Mary Ryan; husband, Kenny Halverson; son, Gary Meyer; daughter, Debbie Holm; siblings, Bob Ryan, Betty Lou Ryan, Terry Ryan, Kitty Schroeder and Joe Ryan; grandson, Alex Clark and granddaughter, Charish Meyer.
