Maurice Przybilla

Maurice P. Przybilla, age 74, a resident of Pierz, MN passed away Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Pierz Villa in Pierz, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Father Kenneth Brenny officiating. Burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Monday, May 18, 2009 at Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz and from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Parish Prayers will be held at 7 PM followed by Knights of Columbus Office of the Dead Service at 7:30 PM. Military Rites will be conducted by the Camp Ripley Honor Guard. Maurice was born August 23, 1934 in Buckman, MN to the late John L. and Theresa (Stumpf) Przybilla. He was united in marriage to Gloria Bednar on May 8, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Church in Pierz, MN they later divorced. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany for 23 months being honorably discharged in February 1960. He then worked for Frank Voigt Backhoe service in Pierz, MN. After that he went to work delivering bulk fuels to area farmers & homes until his retirement in 1996. Maurice enjoyed talking with the customers and keeping up with everything going on in the area. He also enjoyed tinkering on equipment, and especially spending time with his horses. He loved touring the area watching the area farmers in the fields. He loved hunting & fishing, and gossiping with all his old friends and customers. Most of all Maurice loved spending time with his kids, and the love of his life the grandkids. Maurice is survived by his sons, Paul (Theresa) Przybilla of Little Falls, MN, Peter (Devon) Przybilla of Hillman, MN; daughter, Patty (David) Stich of Royalton, MN; brother, Donald (Kathy) Przybilla of Pierz, MN; sisters, Clara (Clarence) Jorgensen of St. Paul, MN, Millie Wolf of Eden Valley, MN, Esther (John) Gapinski of Foley, MN; Grandchildren, Michael, Jordon, Bryan, Robyn, Emily, Megan, Craig, Lisa, and Janna. Maurice was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Reinhart, Elmer, Roderick; sisters, Theresa and Mary; and grandson, Douglas. Pallbearers; Paul Przybilla, Peter Przybilla, David Stich, Jordon Przybilla, Michael Przybilla, Bryan Przybilla, and Danny Hennen.
