Pamela A. Woitalla, 43 year old resident of Monticello, MN passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery in Pierz, MN. A visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday and from 9:30-10:30 A.M. on Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. A Christian Mother’s Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 P.M. on Wednesday at the Church. Funeral arrangements are with the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN. Pamela was born on January 31, 1973 in Little Falls, MN to Kenneth and Kathleen (Watercott) Funk. She grew up in Pierz, MN where she attended and graduated from Healy High School as salutatorian and was also nominated homecoming queen with the class of 1991. Upon graduation Pam attended St. Cloud State University and later transferred to the University of Minnesota where she graduated from the nursing program with honors. She was united in marriage to Gary Woitalla on October 10, 1998 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. Pam worked most of her career as a public health nurse in area counties which include Morrison, Benton, and most recently Sherburne. She was currently a full time student at St. Scholastica, earning her Doctorate Degree as a Nurse Practioner. Pam’s family was her life, she was a very loving wife and a devoted mother. She enjoyed camping, fishing, caring for her garden and house plants, and attending her children’s sporting events. Pam took great pride in making her home her own, she was an excellent decorator and always made everyone feel welcome. She will forever be remembered for her contagious laugh and beautiful smile. Pam was always the person people came to with their medical questions and any other problem they had and she was always willing to help. She loved helping people and many loved her, she will be dearly missed. Pam is survived by husband, Gary Woitalla of Monticello, MN; children, Madison and Brock Woitalla of Monticello, MN; step-son, Mitchell Woitalla of Pierz, MN; step-daughter, Autumn Woitalla of Pierz, MN; mother, Kathy Watercott-Funk of Sauk Rapids, MN; father, Kenny (Cherri) Funk of Little Falls, MN; brothers, Kurt (Julie) Funk of Foley, MN, Scott (Christen) Funk of Pierz, MN and Jeff and significant other Ashley Prom of Sauk Rapids, MN; grandmothers, Delores Watercott of Pierz, MN and Leona Funk of Pierz, MN; mother-in-law, Martha Woitalla of Harding, MN; step-brothers, Scott (Layne) Freudenrich of Little Falls, MN and Brandon (Jenny) Freudenrich of Little Falls, MN; step-sister, Kari (James) Reed of Little Falls, MN; brothers-in-law, Steve (Teresa) Woitalla of Freedom, MN, Brian (Jenean Hayes) Woitalla of Harding, MN and David (Cari) Woitalla of Brainerd, MN; sisters-in-law, Lisa (Kent) Ginter of Little Falls, MN and Stacy (Mike) Foust of Harding, MN and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pam was preceded in death by grandfathers, Charles Watercott and Ted Funk; god-mother, Maureen Watercott; uncle, Alvin Funk; father-in-law, Roman Woitalla; and brother-in-law, Mark Woitalla.
