Randy David Englehart

Randy David Englehart, 69 year old resident of Cushing, MN, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024 at his residence. A Gathering of family and friends to celebrate Randy’s life will be scheduled for June 22, 2024 from noon to ? at the family home . Caring for Randy and his family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Randy David Englehart was born on October 26, 1954 in Little Falls, MN, to the late John and Jeanette (Heinz) Englehart. He graduated from Little Falls High School in 1973. Randy worked as an equipment operator in constructing roads throughout the Dakota’s and Minnesota. Randy was united in marriage to Delores Truchinski on February 23, 1993 and together they purchased a home on Lake Alexander in Cushing, MN. Randy was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. He especially enjoyed ice fishing and built many of the ice houses he used. He fed wildlife and enjoyed watching the deer in his apple orchard. Randy would fry up walleyes on a regular schedule as well as cooking the wild game he harvested. He grew a vegetable garden every summer, but being the generous man he was, he usually gave most of the produce to family and friends. Randy had many friends and was always willing to help others. His special time was when his grandchildren and great-grandchildren would visit, and he always had planned activities for them. Randy and Delores would travel down to Texas and stayed in a trailer home last 7 years, wintering in Texas. Randy is survived by his wife, Delores; daughters, Dawn Orozco (special friend, Robert Englehart) of Cushing, Trisha Orozco (special friend, Becky) of Lincoln, MN, and Christine Orozco of Pine City, MN; brothers, Jim Englehart (special friend, Susan Lehmann) of Cushing, Patrick Englehart of Minneapolis, MN, and Robert Englehart of Cushing; sisters, Mary Ann Goering of Baxter, MN, Shirley Carper of Baxter, MN, Candy (Danny) Salter of Little Falls, and Jackie Janey of Little Falls; 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jeanette Englehart; son, Dennis John Orozco; great granddaughter, Kiley Orozco; brothers, Jeffrey and Arthur Englehart; sister, Helen Doucette; and godchild, John Lehmann.
