Rebekah Kennedy

Rebekah R. Kennedy, age 59, a resident of Glenpool, OK passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at her sisters home north of Little Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 27, 2007 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls with Rev. Blaine MacNeil officiating. A visitation will be held from 12 to 2 PM on Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church. Rebekah Ruth Pederson was born October 2, 1947 in White Earth, MN to the late James & Ann Pederson. She grew up near Waubun, MN and attended school there. She graduated from South High School in Minneapolis, MN. Completing her schooling, Becky worked as a welder for a window company in Minneapolis, MN for a few years. She moved to Newell, Iowa and purchased the Westside Café, managing it for three years. She sold the restaurant, purchased a motor home and traveled around the USA until settling in Portland, OR. She worked for the Fred Meyer Grocery Store in Portland for ten years and also purchased an apartment building. She became the mother of three children at that time. Becky moved her family to Blackduck, MN in 1995 and purchased the Drake Motel, operating it until 1999. She was united in marriage to Alan D. Spielman in 1995. Alan’s occupation took her to many countries including, Oman, Romania, Taiwan, Egypt, Tinian and Cyprus. Becky enjoyed painting, reading and traveling. She especially enjoyed visits from her children and grandchildren. Rebekah R. Kennedy is survived by her husband, Alan D. Spielman; sons, Bobby Lee Munoz (fiancée, Amanda) of Minneapolis, MN, Justin James Munoz & Wife, Miranda of Celina, Texas; daughter, Billy Jo Munoz of Vancouver, WA; brothers, Stefen Pederson of Shevlin, MN, David Pederson of Escondido, CA, and James Pederson of San Diego, CA; sisters, Ann Marie Pederson of Springfield, VA, Cathleen Frerichs of Little Falls, MN, Luella Zimmerman of Blackduck, MN, Laura Engle of Muscogee, OK, Melissa Keshlear of Austin, TX and Debra Hawthorne of Puposki, MN; 2.5 grandchildren: Kail Munoz and Kaden Munoz. She was preceded in death by her parents and three infant children. Pallbearers will be Ann Marie, Cathleen, Luella, Laura, Melissa, Debra and Billy Jo.
