Richard G. Chirhart, 72 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at his home in Little Falls, MN. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will take place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 9-11 A.M. on Wednesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Richard was born on November 14, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Robert and Dorothy (Mrozek) Chirhart. He grew up in Little Falls, MN attending elementary school at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and graduated from Little Falls Community High School. After graduation Richard enlisted into the U.S Navy an served in Norfolk, Virginia on the U.S.S Intrepid until he was honorably discharged. Richard was united in marriage to Margie Huebner on March 12, 1966 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Lake Park, MN. He was employed at Electrolux in St. Cloud, MN for 46 years retiring in 2013. Richard was an avid reader, reading every newspaper he could get his hands on and loved working on crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed listening to music, playing scratch offs and the Minnesota State Lottery. Richard was a very kind hearted man that was very honest and loved to play jokes on people and could also take a joke in return. His grandchildren were the love of his life and he cherished every moment he had with them. Richard was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Richard is survived by loving wife, Margie Chirhart of Little Falls, MN; children, Stacey (Gerrey) Stevenson of Little Falls, MN, Shantel (Joel) Hendrickson of Little Falls, MN and Chad Chirhart of Little Falls, MN; brothers, Roger (Darlene) Chirhart of Little Falls, MN and Gregg (Leone) Chirhart of Little Falls, MN; sister, Jackie Doller of Superior, WI; grandchildren, Joshua, Michaela, Natasha, Tyler, Keisha, Corbin, Cole, Isabella, & Montana; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Layla, Evan, & Parker. Richard was preceded in death by, parents, Robert and Dorothy Chirhart; grandchild, Austin; and sister, Roberta Norris.
