Roberta "Bobbie" Riitters

Bobbie Riitters, 68 year old resident of Randall, MN passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Nate Bjorge officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Monday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN and from 10-11 A.M. on Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Bobbie was born on October 18, 1946 in Chisholm, Minnesota to the late William and Ann (Muhar) Mainerich. She grew up in Hibbing, Minnesota where she attended Hibbing Jr. College. Bobbie graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1968 with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education. She taught at Lindbergh and Dr. S.G. Knight Elementary schools, and all her students loved her and she loved them. Bobbie and Bob met while in college at St. Cloud State and were married on June 21, 1969 in Hibbing, MN. They lived in Randall since 1969, and were married for over 45 years. Bobbie loved to do crosswords, puzzles, read, knit, crochet and just visit with people. Her pride and joy were her two sons, their wives, and her grandchildren. She was an avid Flyer fan, season ticket holder for the St. Cloud State Husky hockey team, and a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She was humble, gracious, generous and compassionate. Everyone she met was her new best friend. The unwanted twist to her life started on January 6th and ended peacefully on June 3rd. She will be dearly missed by all. Bobbie is survived by loving husband, Bob Riitters of Randall, MN; sons, Tim (Sarah) Riitters of Half Moon Bay, CA; Tom (Katie) Riitters of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Ellie and Will Riitters of Little Falls, and Abby and Mara Riitters of Half Moon Bay, CA; mother, Ann Mainerich of Proctor, MN; sister, Peggy (Randy) Zahn of Esko, MN; mother-in-law, Margie Riitters of Little Falls, MN; brothers-in-law, Jon (Sally) Riitters of Little Falls, MN; and Kurt Riitters of Chapel Hill, NC; sisters-in-law, Jane (Ed) Meyer of Thompson, ND; Jane (Kevin) Myhre of Montevideo, MN; and Juliette Riitters of Little Falls, MN. She was preceded in death by her father, William; brother, William, Jr.; father-in-law, Vernon Riitters; brother-in-law, Jay Riitters. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials are Preferred.
