Susan M. Hoheisel, 45-year-old resident of Pierz, MN passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer at her home in Pierz, MN with her family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery in Pierz, MN. A visitation will be held from 3-8 P.M. on Thursday and from 9-10 A.M. on Friday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN. A Christian Mothers rosary will be prayed at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday evening at the Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN. Susan was born on February 25, 1973 in Little Falls, MN to Lloyd and Donna (Meyer) Boeder. She grew up in Pierz, MN where she graduated from Pierz Healy High School with the Class of 1991. After graduating High School, Susan attended Gustavus Adolphus College two years when she transferred to St. Catherine’s College. Susan graduated and earned a degree in occupational therapy and was employed at the Brainerd Hospital in the Grace Unit for over 20 years. She was united in marriage to Jess Hoheisel on August 23, 2003 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. They were blessed with three children, Hunter (14), Jenna (12) and Kate (8). Susan lived for her three children, she was always planning activities for them and they were always the main priority. Susan loved planning family vacations and spent as much time as possible on Pierz Fish Lake or at their lake cabin on Gull Lake. She was also an avid card player and loved to dance, especially when her favorite band, Speak Eezy was playing. Susan began her cancer journey three and a half years ago, she battled it with courage and faith until it ended on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Blessed be her memory, and may Susan rest in peace. Susan is survived by husband, Jess Hoheisel of Pierz, MN; children, Hunter, Jenna, and Kate all of Pierz, MN; parents, Lloyd and Donna Boeder of Pierz, MN; grandmother, Elaine Meyer of Pierz, MN; sister, Lisa (Mike) Poster of Pierz, MN; brother, John (Michelle) Boeder of Pierz, MN; nieces and nephews, Matthew Boeder, Rachel Boeder, Bailey Poster, Nathan Poster, Alex Poster, and Madison Poster; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Susan was preceded in death by grandparents, Elroy Meyer, Leonard and Dottie Boeder; and aunt, Diane Meyer.
