Vernon "Vern" Bujarski

Vernon Bujarski, 71 year old resident of Hillman, MN passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman, MN with Father Jerry Schick officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Rita's Parish Cemetery in Hillman, MN. A visitation will be held from 9-11 A.M. on Wednesday at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman, MN. Vernon was born on June 4, 1945 in Sauk Rapids, MN to the late John and Sybella (Briese) Bujarski. He was united in marriage to Janet Sahr on May 29, 1971 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Hillman, MN. The couple recently celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary with a small gathering of friends at their farm in Hillman, MN. Vern was a very interesting person that had a great sense of humor that was contagious. He loved to joke and tease with everyone. Vern was also very particular about the ways things were done, and you did not ever want to question his reason for it. In his free time he enjoyed watching The Voice, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Wheel of Fortune, and loved listening to KLTF. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family and friends and his collection of wood wagons that he spent many hours making wood for the upcoming winters. When he was not making wood or spending time with his family, Vern could be found having coffee with his friends or out visiting with the neighbors in the Hillman area. In 2005 Vern got to meet his two biological sisters, Linda and Lois and has remained in touch with them since. Vern was employed by Knife River where he drove belly dump for many years, retiring in 2012. He was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Hillman, MN, Hillman American Legion, and Knights of Columbus. Vern was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Vern is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Janet Bujarski of Hillman, MN; son, Daryl & special friend Sandi Kloss of Hillman, MN; daughter, Cheryl (Kenny) Brambrink of Hillman, MN; grandchildren, Cody Bujarski, MaKayla Brambrink & special friend Eric Wisneski and Jordan Brambrink; sisters, Pauline Moren of Pierz, MN, Linda Hannigan of Whittier, CA and Lois (Don) Thiery of Brainerd, MN. Vern was preceded in death parents, John and Sybella Bujarski; and brother, Norbert Bujarski.
