Virginia Willert

Virginia Darleen Edgerton was born on July 5, 1925 in Pawnee City, NE, to the late Lloyd and Myrtle (Ellsworth) Edgerton. She was the oldest of 10 children. She was married to Lyle Willert on January 14, 1945 in Lincoln, NE. Following their marriage they lived in Spokane, WA, while Lyle completed his military service. They also lived in Carrington and New Rockford, ND, before settling on their farm near Page, ND. They later lived in Valley City, McClusky, and Reynolds, ND, before returning to their farm near Page, ND. Virginia was an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Page, teaching at their Sunday school for many years. She was involved in the Homemakers Club, a Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant, and a TOPS regional director. Most of all, she was a devoted wife and loving mother of eight children. Her family will always cherish the memories of the wonderful family gatherings she hosted. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Barb (Jerry) Lauer of McClusky, ND, their sons, Shannon Lauer of Bismarck, ND, Brandon (Erin) Lauer and daughters, Daphne and Brooklyn of McClusky, ND, and Jeremy Lauer and sons, Jayce and Brayden of Bismarck, ND; daughter, Nancy (Mike) Schiro of Cottage Grove, WI, their children, Daniel and Stephanie Schiro, both of Madison, WI; son, Michael (Belinda) Willert of Argusville, ND, their children, Monique (Ben) Barnhardt and children, Marinda and Mathias of Fargo, ND, Heidi (Chuck) Johnson and children, Nicholas and Zachary of Moorhead, MN, and Troy Willert of Fargo, ND, and his son, Chase of Orlando, FL; son, Donnie (Becky) Willert of Princeton, MN; son, Jeff (Julie) Willert, their sons, Dustin and Matthew Willert of Hanover, MN; daughter, Julia (Neal) Weisz, their children, Logan Weisz and son, Owen, Whitney Weisz, and Austin Weisz, all of Little Falls, MN; and daughter, Lisa (Robyn) Usgaard and son, Cooper Usgaard of Waterloo, WI; brothers, Guyles (Betty) Edgerton, and Don (Mary Kay) Edgerton; sisters, Marilyn (Fred) Rotha, Phyllis (Marvin) Johnson, Yvonne (Dale) Huff, Earleen (Keith) Walker, Janice (Gary) Habegger, and Joyce (Wayne) Brunz; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle; son, Richard; and sister, Carolyn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dustin Willert, Matthew Willert, Austin Weisz, and Cooper Usgaard. Active Pallbearers will be Shannon Lauer, Brandon Lauer, Jeremy Lauer, Troy Willert, Daniel Schiro, and Logan Weisz.
