Alan J. Kedrowski

Alan J. Kedrowski, 53 year old resident of rural Long Prairie, MN passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 as a result of an auto accident. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Swanville, MN with Father Ronald Dockendorf officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at 2 PM on Monday, June 1st the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Military Rites will be conducted by the Minnesota State Honor Guard. Alan was born in Little Falls Minnesota to Albert and Bernadette (Stanoch) Kedrowski. He grew up and worked primarily in the Little Falls, Swanville, Long Prairie, and most recently in the St. Cloud area. Alan attended Swanville Public Schools and later joined the United States Air Force, as a Fuel Specialist and was honorably discharged in July of 1984. He enjoyed and had many fond memories while he was stationed at Bitburg, Germany, and at Grand Forks, ND Air Force Base. Alan enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nephews, nieces, and friends. He also enjoyed spending time and helping his brother on the farm where he grew up, this was always home to him “The Farm”. He loved to fish, hunt, darts, camping, 4-wheeling, and would golf everyday if he could. He was an avid Vikings fan and enjoyed watching the Twins. Alan was a kind hearted giving person who never asked for anything in return, was hard working, and always ready to lend a hand when needed. He will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include brothers, David Kedrowski (Melinda Spieker) of Swanville, and Gerald (Jeannette) Kedrowski of Burnsville; sisters, Marie Kedrowski of Swanville, Rosemary (Matthew) Mehr of Upsala, and Patricia (Bruce) Bode of Little Falls; step-mother, Shirley Kedrowski of Cushing; step-brothers, Gary (Rose Ann) Marx of Long Prairie, and Randy (Jackie) Marx of Cushing; nephews, Ricky, Randy, Jr., Michael, Marcus, Wyatt, Owen, Nicholas, and Christopher; nieces, Amber, Melissa, Jessie, and Amanda; great-nephews, Wesly, Blake, Levi, and Connor; great-nieces, Abby Makalia, Zoa, and Bentlee; uncles; aunts; cousins; and many friends. Alan was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; aunts; and uncles.
