Brad Bigalke

Brad Bigalke, 59 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away, Monday, June 22, 2015 at his home in Little Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Gary Hendrickson officiating. Burial will take place at Darling Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN and from 10-11 A.M. on Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Bradley Dale Bigalke was born on February 14, 1956 in Little Falls, MN to Betty June (Copley) and the late Vernon Bigalke. He grew up in Little Falls, MN where he attended and graduated from Little Falls Community High School with the Class of 1974. After graduation Brad went on to earn his degree in teaching at the University of Minnesota. His first teaching job was in Melrose, MN and later returned to Little Falls High School where he taught in the Ag Department. While still teaching Brad received his Masters Degree in Business Administration at the University of St. Thomas, which later helped him open a business selling pet supplies. He later went to work at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery as a groundskeeper. Brad’s true love in life was baseball, he loved watching ball games and was very active for many years in the local amateur leagues. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. Brad will forever be remembered as a loving, father, grandfather, son, & brother; and for his great sense of humor. Brad is survived by daughter, Emily Scott & fiancé Nathan Nelson of Lisbon, ND; mother, Betty June of Little Falls, MN; brothers, Darrell (Lanette Mayer) of Stillwater, MN, Daniel (Sally) of Maplewood, MN, and Bruce (Carol) of Ham Lake, MN; grandchildren, Destiny Freitag and Gracie May Nelson; nieces, Anne and Siiri; nephews, Joe, Jake, Brock, and many aunts and uncles. Brad was preceded in death by father, Vernon. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials are Preferred.
