Dennis L. Kelzenberg, 82 year old resident of Pierz, MN passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Harmony House of Pierz, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 6, 2026 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Father Aaron Nett officiating and Father Gregory Mastey con-celebrating. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 A.M. on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the LeMieur Funeral Home in Pierz, MN. Caring for Dennis and his family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Pierz, MN. Dennis was born on October 21, 1943, in Little Falls, Minnesota, to the late Henry and Olivia (Dehler) Kelzenberg. He grew up in Buckman, Minnesota, where he attended school and graduated from Pierz High School with the Class of 1961. Dennis was united in marriage to Beverly Hoheisel on June 29, 1964, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pierz, Minnesota. Together, they raised their three children in the St. Cloud area. Dennis was employed as a computer programmer, working for Fingerhut, DeZurik, and Cornelius, retiring from Cornelius in Anoka in 2000. In 2020, Dennis and Beverly returned to their hometown of Pierz. Dennis loved spending time with his friends and family, especially at his hunting shack affectionately known as the “Hill City Hilton.” He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman and enjoyed a good card game. He also liked golfing, but most of all, Dennis cherished watching and supporting his grandchildren in their sporting events and school activities. Dennis will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, and the way he always welcomed family and friends into his home or hunting shack. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. He is survived by wife, Beverly Kelzenberg of Pierz, MN; children, Debora (Brian) Neu of St. Cloud, MN, Kurt (Caroll) Kelzenberg of Farmington, MN and Brenda (Brian) Prokott of Pierz, MN; siblings, LuAnn (Del) Hoppe of White Bear Lake, MN, James (Sue) Kelzenberg of Rochester, MN, Oliver (Kimberly) Kelzenberg of Weatherford, TX, Rueben (Sandy) Kelzenberg of Chanhassen, MN; sister-in-law, Barbara Kelzenberg of Shoreview, MN; grandchildren, Allie (Travis) Erickson, Heather (Aaron) Gabriel, Hunter Kelzenberg, Jared Prokott, Jonah Prokott, and Jack Prokott; great-grandchildren, Juliana, Eliza, and Sophie Erickson and step-granddaughter, Savana Neu. Dennis was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Olivia Kelzenberg; brothers, Alfred Kelzenberg, Norman Kelzenberg, and Leon Kelzenberg.
