Fred A. Taylor

Freddie “Fred” A. Taylor 70 year old resident of rural Royalton, MN passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at First United Church in Little Falls with Rev. Eric Shin officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Royalton, MN. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Military Rites will be provided by the Royalton American Legion Post #137. Freddie “Fred” A. Taylor was born on June 22, 1946 in Little Falls to the late Andrew & Mary (Bollin) Taylor. The family resided in the Randall & Sobieski area. Fred graduated from Little Falls High School in 1964. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Gray for 14 years and to this union 3 children were born. Fred worked at Frigidaire in St. Cloud for 30+ years. He enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, fixing cars, collecting unicorns and spending time with his family. Fred is survived by his soulmate of more than 20 years Gwen Berg of Royalton, MN; sons, Mark A. Taylor (Katrina) of Fergus Falls, MN, Richard Berg II of Royalton, MN; daughters, Amber A. Leuthardt (Michael) of Fergus Falls, MN, Jade J. Taylor (Brad) of Fergus Falls, MN, Vicki A. Karls (Doug) Pierz, MN; grandchildren, Zach (Tonia), Danielle (John), Chelsie, Brianna, Casey, Ashten, Dillion, Atlanta, Brandon, Joey, Autumn, Terrace, Tiffany and Maggie; great-grandchildren, Ava, Tahmor, Brecken, Maddie, Hunter, Raylaynd, and Cohen; sisters, Mavis (Williams) Norman of Two Harbors, MN, Janet (Jerry) Wozniak of Little Falls, MN and sister-in-law, Gaylene Taylor of Little Falls, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew & Mary Taylor; sister, Marylou (Robert) Nelson; twin brother, Francis Taylor; nephew, Jodi Wozniak; granddaughter, Coral Goulet and grandson, Andrew Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be his 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Wozniak Jr., Jeff Wozniak, Frank Taylor, Andy Taylor, Richard Berg II & Lee Moeller.
