Floral Web Store Is Not Available. To Order Please Call (320) 532-4132 Gerald Anderlie, age 95, of Onamia, MN, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Onamia, MN, with Father Jerry Schik officiating. A Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to Mass at Holy Cross. Interment will be in the MN State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. Arrangements are with the LeMieur Home of Onamia. Gerald Anderlie was born on December 8, 1929, to Isabel (Houn) and Ferdinand Anderlie. He was drafted into the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged on March 30, 1954. Gerald was united in marriage to Cecilia Gill on September 14, 1959, in Mayhew Lake, Minnesota. They moved to Minneapolis and soon purchased a home in Crystal, Minnesota where they raised their four young boys. Jerry was employed by Northland Foremost Ice Cream Company and then worked as a building maintenance engineer for United Properties. In 1980, they purchased a cabin in Onamia and spent every weekend traveling up north creating a hobby farm that they would eventually move to and enjoy their retirement years. The couple loved dancing, and Gerald would entertain everyone with his concertina. He enjoyed deer hunting, walleye fishing and took pride in teaching his sons to carry on the tradition. Gerald liked to spend his time tinkering and tending to the chores on their hobby farm and keeping the varmints at bay. He was a Kathio Township board member for many years, a good neighbor, and an even better friend. Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Cecilia; children, John Anderlie, Roger (Deborah) Anderlie, Glen Anderlie, Dean Anderlie; sister, Isabel Ryan; grandchildren, Joel (Marisa) Anderlie, Andrew (McKenna) Anderlie, Leo (Christina) Anderlie, Wyatt Anderlie, Lauren Anderlie; great-grandchildren, Maverick, Avery, Everly, Walker, Elijah. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Isabel (Houn) and Ferdinand Anderlie; daughter-in-law, Nicole Anderlie; brothers and sisters, Leo (Audrey) Anderlie, Raymond (Lillian) Anderlie, Leonard (Shirley) Anderlie, Eleanor (Donald) Lange, Helen (Julius) Stellmach, Lorraine Anderlie, Theresa (Irvin) Schraut, Urban (Donna) Anderlie, Delores Booth; and brother-in-law, Charles Ryan.
