- Floral Web Store Is Not Available - Gerald “Jerry” John Wojciak, age 73, of Onamia, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025. A man of unwavering kindness, quick wit, and deep devotion to his family and friends, Jerry lived a life marked by generosity and humility. His personal mission was simple yet profound: to do a good deed for someone each and every day. And he fulfilled that promise right up to his very last moments. In January 2025, Dad was diagnosed with an inoperable brain cancer known as glioblastoma. His time left with us was far too short and passed quickly, but in true Jerry fashion, he faced it with remarkable strength, positivity, and grace. He embraced each day with a smile and continued to uplift those around him, never letting his diagnosis define him. He was lovingly surrounded at home by his daughters until his last moments of life. Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leanne “Beehler” Wojciak; his father, John Wojciak; his mother, Ann Dohanick Wojciak; and his brother, Frank Wojciak. Their reunion brings comfort to those who loved him here on earth. He is survived by his three daughters, who were the pride and joy of his life: Kellie (Chuck) McConville, Shellie Wojciak, and Brittany (Angel) Gonzalez. His legacy lives on in his nine cherished grandchildren: Bryce, Peyton, Sienna, and Caelin McConville; Samantha and Magnus McQuay; and Addison, Brinley, and Aria Gonzalez; and his sister, Jannetta (Michael) Spahn. Jerry’s love and presence will continue to guide and shape the lives of his family for generations to come. Jerry dedicated over 40 years of his life to Bernick’s Pepsi, where he not only worked with pride but also built lasting relationships with his clients and coworkers. After retiring, a term he never truly embraced, he remained a force of energy and purpose. Whether helping neighbors with construction projects, tending to his animals, or spending time outdoors, Jerry’s hands and heart were always busy. He found great joy in working on the land, caring for his cows, pigs, and chickens, and carrying on the family tradition of deer hunting, which he pursued passionately until his final season. He was a storyteller, a joke-teller, and a dance partner, especially if there was a cold Schmidt beer nearby. Jerry was a man of integrity, compassion, and humor. He would give the shirt off his back for someone in need and often did. He lived by example, showing what it meant to put family and others first, to love deeply, and to give freely. Those who knew him were better for it. While our hearts are heavy with his passing, we take solace knowing he is reunited with the love of his life. Dad was our greatest blessing, and we will carry his love, lessons, and laughter with us always. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Onamia, MN, with a visitation 1 hour before Mass at church. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are with the LeMieur Funeral Home in Onamia.
