Joyce E. Preimesberger, 71 year old resident of Pierz, MN, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz with Father Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery in Pierz. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, December 22nd at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz and from 9 to 10 AM on Saturday at the funeral chapel. Christian Mothers & the Pierz Lions will pray at 4:30 PM, followed by Parish Prayers at 7 PM on Friday at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz. Joyce E. Preimesberger was born on April 7, 1935 in Pine River, Minnesota to the late Dale & Ivy (Johnson) West. She grew up in Little Falls and graduated from Little Falls High School in 1953. Joyce and Patrick lived in various locations including Columbia Heights, MN, Sun City, AZ and Pierz. Joyce worked for many years in the insurance industry as a secretary. She was a member of the Pierz Lions Club and recently received the Melvin Jones Award. Patrick and Joyce were united in marriage for 54 years. She enjoyed bowling, golf, spending time at the lake and spending time with family & friends. Joyce is survived by her husband, Patrick Preimesberger of Pierz, MN; daughter, Bridget Larson & husband, Larry of Anaheim Hills, CA; son, David Preimesberger of & wife, Vicky of Brooklyn Park, MN; sisters, Betty Anderson & husband, Norris of Little Falls, MN, Linda Buttel & husband, Thomas of Sartell, MN, Janice Hendrickson & husband, Roy of Sterling, KA and Kathy Doroff & husband, William of Little Falls, MN; brothers, John West & wife, Janet of Little Falls, MN, Wayne West & wife, Annabelle of Alexandria, MN, Robert West of Battle Lake, MN and Glenn West & wife, Patricia of Little Falls, MN; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by her parents, Dale & Ivy West and a brother, Dean West. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ken Dahmen, Dale Jensen, Leander Maus, Gary Matlock, Ronald Gross, Jim Fischer and Brad Hoheisel. Active Pallbearers will be Todd Preimesberger, Steve Preimesberger, Mark Meyer, Robert Stuckmayer, Wayne West and Clifford Meyer.
