Lucille M. Geise

Lucille M. Geise, 71 year old resident of Bowlus, MN passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Prairie, MN with Father Greg Sauer officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery in North Prairie, MN. A visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Friday and from 10-11 A.M. on Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Prairie, MN. A Christian Mothers rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. on Friday evening at the Church. Caring for Lucille and her family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Lucille was born on April 11, 1950, in Richmond, MN to the late Leo and Helen (Kron) Winkels. She grew up in the Farming, MN area and attended school in Albany where she graduated from High School. Lucille was united in marriage to Bernard Geise on June 21, 1969, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Farming, MN. She was a devoted wife and a dedicated mother to her eleven children. Lucille’s family was her priority, but she always made time to volunteer at the Church. She was a member at Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Prairie where she taught religious education, was a member of the Christian Mother’s and the Mission Circle. Lucille enjoyed gardening, camping, playing bingo and quilting. In 2016, Lucille and Bernard took a trip of a lifetime to Germany, which she treasured dearly. Her love and patience for her children and grandchildren will forever be remembered, along with her top-secret famous cinnamon rolls. Lucille was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Lucille is survived by her loving husband, Bernard Geise; children, Laurie (Keith) Hommerding of Holdingford, MN, Dennis Geise of Rice, MN, Duane (Susan) Geise of Holdingford, MN, Darrell (Susan) Geise of Bowlus, MN, Linda (Allen) Dubbin of Holdingford, MN, Doug (Stacey) Geise of Bowlus, MN, Lisa (Steve) Schwalbe of Avon, MN, Donald (Jenna Kuduk) Geise of Bowlus, MN, Lois Geise of Little Falls, MN, LeeAnn (Matthew) Nelson of Bowlus, MN and Jane (Phillip) Kramer of Clearwater, MN; siblings, Leander Winkels of Albany, MN, Marie Skornicka of WI, Liola (Don) Voit of Freeport, MN and Bernice (Richard) Kunstleben of Albany, MN; 29 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 8 step-grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by parents, Leo and Helen Winkels; brother, George Winkels; son-in-law, James Angevine; in-laws, Bernard Sr. and Catherine Geise; and infant-son.
