Marilyn Anderson

Marilyn S. Anderson, 75 year old resident of Randall, MN, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Little Falls Care Center, Little Falls, MN. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Randall, MN with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at the Darling Cemetery northwest of Little Falls at 3:00 P.M. Caring for Marilyn and her family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Marilyn was born on October 14, 1948, in Duluth, MN to the late Lloyd & Dolores (Wendland) Fischer. After her father’s passing the family moved to Randall, MN. She graduated from Little Falls High School. Marilyn was united in marriage to her love Wayne Anderson on February 25, 1966, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Marilyn and Wayne purchased their first home in 1974 in Coon Rapids where they lived for many years. Marilyn worked at Anchor Hocking and as a Customer Service Representative and at Culligan until her retirement in 2013, when she moved back to Randall. Marilyn was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and served as Treasurer of the Darling Church Memorial, Inc. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, and playing cards. Marilyn’s hobbies were gardening, reading and canning food from her garden. Her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was evident in her daily life. Marilyn had a quick wit and sense of humor which led to her special smile we loved. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jon Anderson, Coon Rapids, Scott Anderson, Randall and David Anderson; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer, Rebecca, Damian, Deion, Alexis, Dominic, David Jr, Wayne, and Ashton and 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dianne (Roger) Piekarski, Lakeville, Barb (Marv) Dietrich, Stillwater; Danny Fischer, Randall, Kathy (Gary) Nazworth, San Antonio, TX; Brian Johnson, Little Falls; Karen (Dave) Munsterteiger, Brainerd; sibling in-laws, Mary Fischer, James (Diane) Anderson, Hutchinson, Janice Lundgren, Little Falls, Nancy Hamlin, St. Cloud and Kevin Andersen, Little Falls, and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; parents Lloyd and Dolores; stepfather, Richard (Dick) Johnson; parents-in-law, Hilding and Doris Anderson; brothers, Randy Fischer and Richard Neil Johnson; brother-in-law, Richard (Dick) Lundgren; sisters-in-law, Barbara Andersen and Joanne Fischer.
