Myron Aadland

Myron Aadland, 62 year old resident of Isle, MN passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Firstlight Health System in Mora, MN. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Isle, MN. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service. Interment will be in Rabbit Lake Cemetery in Glen Township, MN. Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia. Myron L. Aadland was born in Minneapolis, MN on May 31,1953 to Donald and Dorothy Aadland. He was the oldest of seven children. He spent his childhood in Sisseton, SD. He enjoyed helping his parents on their farm. As a teenager his family moved to Brooklyn Park where he attended Anoka High School and graduated in 1971. On February 21,1974 he married the love of his life, Roberta Herbes. Together they made Columbia Heights their home. In 1977 they had a son, Jonathan Aadland, that he truly adores. Myron was a very hard worker. He worked many years at Pracna On Main, Pannekoeken Huis, and Professors all located in Minneapolis, MN. He moved from Columbia Heights, MN to Onamia, MN in 2009 and then to Isle in 2012. Myron spent his days working at the DAC in Milaca, which he loved all his coworkers and made many friendships there. Myron loved playing on his computer and loved connecting with friends and family on Facebook. Myron has always had a deep love for music since he was old enough to run a transistor radio. Myron has always had a loving and giving heart and loved to crack jokes. He will be missed terribly by his wife of 41 years, Roberta. Myron is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Aadland, of Isle, MN; his son, Jonathan Aadland of Monticello, MN; brothers, Steven (Laura) Aadland of Almelund, MN, Jeff Aadland of Chisago, MN; sisters, Kimberly (Scott) Jongquist of Richland Center, WI, Kristi (Gene) Hill of Isle, MN, Kimberly Belfry of Milaca, MN; and many Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. A special recognition to Myron’s day to day caregivers, David and Jenna Hill, Karleigh Cady, and Karissa Hill. Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Aadland and Dorothy Aadland; and his sister, Kari Grythe.
