Patricia Leisenheimer

Patricia A. Leisenheimer, 78 year old resident of Little Falls, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007 at her home with loved ones present. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 P.M Thursday, May 3, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls with Rev. Bernard Leisenheimer, OSC, officiating. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls and from 11:30 to 12:30 on Thursday at the funeral chapel. The Christian Mothers will pray a rosary at 4:30 P.M. followed by parish prayers at 7:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Unity Family Hospice of Little Falls. Patricia was born March 17, 1929 in St. Cloud, MN to the late Bernard & Evelyn Plantenberg. She grew up in St. Cloud and graduated from Cathedral High School. Pat attended airline school for two years and worked for TWA Airlines in communications for three years. She was united in marriage to John P. Leisenheimer on November 4, 1948 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud, MN. The couple resided in St. Cloud until moving to Little Falls in 1954. Pat worked as a day care provider at her home from 1975—2000. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cross stitching, crafting and playing Scrabble. Patricia was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. She is survived by her sons, Bernard Leisenheimer, OSC of Rieste, Niedersachsen, Germany, Philip Leisenheimer & wife, Marie of Bloomington, MN, Stephen Leisenheimer & wife, Cathy Christoff of Little Falls, MN, Frederic Leisenheimer & wife, Judy of Little Falls, MN, Andrew Leisenheimer & wife, Lisa of Byron, MN, William Leisenheimer & wife, Nancy of Little Falls, MN, Timothy Leisenheimer & fianc`e, Kim of Little Falls, MN, Karl Leisenheimer & wife, Jennifer of Bemidji, MN; daughters, Barbara Barr & husband, Gordon of Burnsville, MN, Patricia Briggs & husband, Mike of Mound, MN, Margaret Leisenheimer of Anaheim, CA, Catherine Fynboh & husband, Scott of Thief River Falls, MN, Mary Pahl & husband, Tim of Annandale, MN; brother, Paul Plantenberg of Spring Hill, FL; sisters, Sr. Phyllis Plantenberg, OSB of St. Joseph, MN, Elizabeth Wolney of Minneapolis, MN; 25 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Patricia Leisenheimer was preceded in death by her husband, John on Dec. 3, 2001; granddaughters, Sydney and Samantha Pahl, November 13, 2003; parents; and an infant brother, Bernard Plantenberg and brother, Donald Plantenberg.
