Robert "Bob" Holz, 91 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Little Falls Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Brandon Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 9-11 A.M. on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Caring for Bob and his family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN. Robert Holz was born on July 30, 1933, in Ft. Ripley, MN, to the late Gustav and Esther (Bublitz) Holz. For over 60 years, Robert worked at Home Furnace Company in Little Falls, MN, retiring at the remarkable age of 86. His work ethic and commitment were an inspiration to all who knew him. A man of many passions, Robert was an avid reader and gardener who found great joy in tending to his plants and nurturing his love of books. He was deeply involved in Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN, where he actively contributed to its mission and community. In his younger years, Robert enjoyed bowling in league and playing softball with his brother Ed. His love for mentoring led him to serve as a Boy Scout troop leader, where he helped mentor and lead young men. Robert was a loyal fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins, rarely missing a game. He also loved traveling, with memorable trips to Canada and Washington, D.C. Robert was a long-standing member of the Little Falls Lions Club, where he dedicated his time to service and building community. A collector and keeper of many treasures, Robert had a keen interest in politics and the stock market, always staying informed and engaged. He also enjoyed trips to the casino and watching horse races at Canterbury Downs, finding excitement and joy in these outings. Robert is survived by siblings, Adeline Kazeck of Sauk Rapids, MN, Bernice (Don) Waldvogel of Little Falls, MN and Edwin (Roxanne) Holz of Beaverton, OR; sister-in-law, Judie Holz of St. Cloud, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Gustav and Esther Holz; siblings, Eleanor Holz, Gustav Holz Jr., Frieda Rebischke, Erma LaFond, Mildred Rebischke, Don Holz, Marie Holz and LeRoy Holz.
